Well, you know that I usually sell Sportscards.
I Happened to stumble on my greatest find, EVER, and they are not even cards!
The NFL Hall of Fame Issued Official NFL SuperBowl Medallions for every single SuperBowl. No doubt that you have seen the newer ones, the smaller ones. What I have here is extremely rare. These are the Official Medallions, each weighing in at 2.2 ounces of .999 FINE SILVER! The collection I have obtained has the first 22 SuperBowl Medallions. Yeah, you read correctly, the first 22. They came in a book-sized chests lined with felt. The NFL Logo is everywhere. These are the real deal. I am going to offer them each in their own auction. 2.2 ounces of .999 silver is about $45 worth of silver at scrap value, at your local coin shop. These are NOT scrap. They shine like the sun.
This auction is for the SUPERBOWL 11 (XI) Medallion. Pure Silver. On the front it has the Lombardi Trophy and the two teams that played. For you NFL History buffs, that would be the NFC Champion Minasota Vikings and the AFC Champion Oakland Raiders. The Reverse Shows, among others, John Madden, the stars of the game, and the score. Please note, these medallions are very hard to photograph. They have a high shine to them, and the flash really makes it hard. Rest assured, these are great medallions! Each medallion is stamped with .999 silver, some on the rim, some very small next to the helmets.
Here is where it gets interesting. There are 22 medals, only 2 chests. The people who win the most medals get the chests. The rest will be shipped in huge amounts of bubble wrap. Here is what I mean...I have all 4 of the Steelers 1970's Medallions. A Steeler fan is probably going to scoop up all four. If four is the highest amount of medallions bought by a single seller, they get the chests. This is HISTORY people, and quite valuable as well.
I am going to post a picture of every coin, front and back, as well as pictures of some of the silver stamps, and of course, the felt lined chests, and felt inserts. This is going to be FUN!
